 Inlets

 1: signal. The audio signal to be panned
 2: angle in degrees (0-360)
 3: separation (0-100). Optimal separation depends on configuration. See help patch.
 4: speaker configuration: 0 - quad, 1 - ITU, 2 - diamond

    A separation of 0 gives equal amplitude for any angle
    A separation of 100 will give maximum amplitude only at the selected loudspeaker

 1-4: signals. These are the signals to be sent to each speaker
      In 4 speaker odd/even.

 Use of macros provides unestimated performance gain of about 50%.
 For 10 instances 2-3% cpu time on a Core Duo 2000

 Inlets

 1: signal. The audio signal to be panned
 2: angle in degrees (0-360)
 3: separation (0-100). Optimal separation (3dB when exactly between 2 speakers)
    is achieved with a separation of 19.75. To facilitate users a difference of -0.25
    is added to the incoming separation so that setting it to 20 in the patch achieves optimal.

    A separation of 0 gives equal amplitude for any angle
    A separation of 100 will give maximum amplitude only at the selected angle

      In 8 speaker diamond configuration speakers are usually numbered from 1 to 8
      in clockwise direction.
